Crab Creek Baptist Church in Hendersonville is stabilizing, beginning to return to normal, and is no longer saying it needs supplies sent. As we continue to pray for the church, its leaders, and its community, we at Rebuilding Hope will be shifting our focus for relief efforts to Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Burnsville, NC.
Though most of the community around the church does not have electricity, the church does have electricity. And the church dug a well this week since the water plant for Burnsville was destroyed by the storm and could take as long as 2 years to restore. Rebuilding Hope is sending a generator and shower unit with 8 showers and other supplies tomorrow (10/12/24). Communication is challenging due to poor cell phone signals. We will have more information when the volunteers who make the delivery and set up the shower unit return.
