December 2019 RHI Volunteer Spotlight – Taurus Howard

Often folks who have been helped by Rebuilding Hope become volunteers.

“After Rebuilding Hope built a ramp for me,” Taurus Howard says, “I came up to see if I could volunteer.”

Taurus joined the team about eight months
ago.

Seeing how volunteers worked together
“brought a tear to my eye. I wanted to give
back,” says the Henderson resident.

“To go out on a job site and see the elderly with smiles on their faces makes me feel good,” he says. “I want them to know that there are still good people in the world.”

A member of Red Bud Baptist Church, Taurus says he would encourage others to become RHI volunteers “because for one thing, we’re put on this earth to help one another, not just take.

“I look forward to coming up here,” he says. “I have
no complaints. God is good.”
